Bantwal: Across the taluk, damages were reported due to the incessant rainfall over the last two days. The hill adjoining the BC Road-Punjalakatte road at Bastikodi has begun to collapse causing panic among locals as there are huge trees on the hill.

A portion of the house of Sannakukku Vanjakshi's at Baltila village has collapsed. The areca nut plantation of Krishnamurthy at Kedila village has been damaged. The water level in the Netravati River has also risen peaking at 6.2 metres on the morning of October 14.
