BC Road: Clash between two groups near Parlia, Police register separate cases

A violent altercation between two groups occurred near Parlia, BC Road, in the early hours of December 11, around 1:30 AM. Based on complaints filed by both parties, the Bantwal Town Police have registered separate cases and initiated an investigation.

In one of the complaints, Sahul Hameed, a resident of the area, alleged that around 15 individuals unlawfully entered his house with the intention of murder while his family was asleep. The attackers reportedly threatened him, saying, “Will you inform the police about us?” They allegedly attacked with deadly weapons and issued death threats. Furthermore, Hameed claimed that the attackers snatched a gold chain from his daughter’s neck during the assault.

In the second complaint, Mohammad Irfan, a resident of Thalipady, alleged that he and his friends visited Sahul Hameed’s residence late at night to discuss a rental issue. Irfan claimed that as they were returning, Sahul and his associates hurled stones at their car, damaging its windows. When they stepped out of the car, the accused allegedly assaulted them, issued death threats, and stole ₹5,000 cash from Irfan’s pocket.

The Bantwal Town Police have registered cases based on the complaints from both parties. They are currently investigating the incident to determine the veracity of the claims and identify the individuals involved.
