Belagavi: Three of a family electrocuted to death at a construction site

Belagavi: Three members of a family were electrocuted to death in Belagavi City at a construction site on Saturday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Erappa Rathod (53), his wife Shanthavva (45), and their granddaughter Annapoorna (13).

Police said the deceased hailed from Arabenchi Tanda of Ramadurga taluk.

The tragedy occurred at the under-construction building where Eerappa was working as a watchman. The incident is believed to be accidental. It is suspected that Eerappa was electrocuted when he was watering the cement at the building in the morning.

Police rushed to the spot and are investigating.
