Belagavi: Training aircraft makes emergency landing in field; tragedy averted

A training plane made an emergency landing in a field between Honihal and Bagewadi road in the taluk on Tuesday.

The small aircraft, which had been conducting training exercises from Belagavi Airport near Sambra village, unexpectedly touched down in the middle of the Modaga-Bagewadi road on the outskirts of Honnihal.

As a result of the incident, the trainer on board sustained a leg injury.

Emergency services, including police and medical personnel, promptly arrived at the scene to assess the situation and provide assistance.
