Belthangady: Police raids lodges in Ujire to check ‘illegal’ activities

Belthangady: Police officials on Monday, February 6 raided several lodges in Ujire in a bid to check ‘illegal’ activities.

Upon receiving a definite tip-off,  DySP of Bantwal Police Sub Division, Pratap Singh Thorat, formed a special team, teams of officers, and personnel of Bantwal Sub Division under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Amate Vikram.

The team raided lodges in Ujire and checked registers, Aadhaar cards of guests, and, other documents.

Police issued a stern warning to lodge owners to keep a check on illegal or criminal activities and tourists and devotees staying in the lodge should be asked to submit complete information.
