The deceased identified as Sudarshan alias Harsha Rane (36), was a resident of Bendrala of Thotathadi village, Belthangady. He was currently residing with his family at Dharwad
Sudarshan owned businesses in several places including Mangaluru and Sirsi. He was also associated with Hindu organizations.
The motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained. A case has been registered at Mundagoda police station and investigation is underway
