Belthangady: Two men beaten up by a gang on suspicion of being cattle smugglers

Belthangady: Two men from Belthangady were allegedly beaten up by a gang on suspicion of being cow smugglers on Wednesday, March 31.

The injured are identified as  Abdul Rahim and Muhammad Mustafa, they have been admitted to a nearby government hospital.

It is said that they were attacked by a gang that arrived on a bike and in an Omni car while they were on their way to repair their pick-up vehicle on Beltangady church road

The gang alleged that the two men were transporting cattle and hit them brutally with sticks and footwear.

A case has been registered at Beltangady police station and four have been arrested in this regard. The arrested are identified as  Rajesh Bhat, Rakesh Bhat, Guruprasad, Lokesh, and Chidanand
