Bengaluru: 2 arrested in POCSO case

Bengaluru: Kadugodi police have arrested two persons on accusation of sexually assaulting a minor.

The accused have been identified as Sachin and Shekhar.

According to police, a case alleging sexual assault on a minor girl was registered on April 24. The duo was arrested in this case.

The victim was staying with her family in the limits of Kadugodi police station. The accused also lived nearby.

According to police, the accused lured the girl into their house promising to give her chocolates and a doll. They allegedly sexually assaulted the girl there.

Locals who noticed this informed the girl’s parents. Later, the parents along with the locals entered the house of the accused and rescued the girl. The mob also thrashed the duo and took them to the police station.

A case under POCSO Act has been registered against the two accused, police added.
