The police inspector at Halasuru Gate police station where the case had been registered, will submit an application to the court seeking its permission to arrest Madhukara Reddy. The permission granted by the court should be produced before the local court in Andhra Pradesh to complete the legal formalities.
Madhukara Reddy is also involved in various criminal offences in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Therefore, Karnataka police will request Andhra police department to hand over the assailant to Karnataka after their interrogation. The Chittoor police have already produced the accused before the magistrate in Madanapalli on Sunday and the accused was sent to judicial custody for 15 days.
Andhra police were arrested Madhukara Reddy accused assaulting Jyothi Uday, a resident of Bengaluru on November 19, 2013 at a Corporation Bank ATM in the state capital. The victim was attacked by the accused for cash when she came to withdraw money from ATM in the morning. The accused was arrested by the police at Madanapalle in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh on January 31 after traffic a police identified the criminal and handed over him to the police for further investigation. During interrogation, the accused admitted the crime he committed in Bengaluru.
