Bengaluru: BJP corporator's husband stabbed to death

Bengaluru: BJP corporator’s husband was stabbed to death in broad daylight by four unidentified men near Muneshwara temple at Cottonpet in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as S. Kadiresh, aged 47. He is the husband of Rekha Kadiresh, a BJP corporator from Chalavadipalya ward in Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Council. It is said that Kadiresh was involved in several criminal cases.

The incident took place at 4 pm on Wednesday when Kadiresh was supervising the preparations for the upcoming Shivarathri festival. He was surrounded by four men and attacked with lethal weapons. The bystanders immediately rushed him to Victoria Hospital but he doctors declared him brought dead. Two of the attackers were identified by an eye witness. The police revealed that Kadiresh had involved in a fight with one of the attackers, Naveen.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Bengaluru west) M.N. Anucheth said that four special teams have been appointed to nab the attackers.
