Bengaluru: Major gold smuggling operation foiled at KIA

Customs officials have successfully intercepted a substantial quantity of illicitly smuggled gold jewelry at Kempegowda International Airport. The contraband was discovered on a flight that had just arrived from Dubai.

On September 9, a meticulously executed search operation, guided by a detailed profiling procedure, uncovered a cache of gold. The ingenious smugglers had ingeniously concealed 2.8 kilograms of gold within a soluble paste, wrapped in layers of insulation tape.
