Ahmad allegedly promised businessman Sanjay Taneja, a paint and hardware trader based in East Kailash of Delhi, Rs 500 crore profit for facilitating the sale of the radioactive material, which was purportedly approved by the Defence Research and Development Organisation.

The sale of purported DRDO materials was delayed citing various reasons for testing and maintenance of the materials at various firms, run by the accused.
