Bengaluru RPF rescue minor who ran away to escape sexual harassment by father

Bengaluru: A minor girl from Bihar, who allegedly ran away from home to escape sexual harassment by her father, was rescued by the Bengaluru Division’s Railway Protection Force (RPF).

The girl was rescued by a women’s team ‘Shakti’ from the KSR Bengaluru-Danapur Sanghamitra Special Express between Krishnarajapuram and Bangarapet.

On being questioned, the girl said she was a resident of East Champaran (Motihari) in Bihar. She said she had run away from home due to repeated sexual harassment by her father.

The girl was brought back to an RPF post in the city. After completing the formalities, she was handed in the care of Uma of Bosco Children’s Home.
