Following this, the doctor, Nagaraj Savanur (55) and the owner of the clinic, Kumaraswamy (35) were arrested by the police.

They were running Sahana Polyclinic at Hegganahalli in Bengaluru.

On September 25, 26-year-old Jyothi, a garment factory employee visited Nagaraj as she had a fever. He administered three injections. A few days later, she noticed a blood clot on her hip area where the doctor had given injections and also had severe pain.

She went to him again and he gave her an ointment and advised her to consult another doctor.

Jyothi went to a nearby hospital and the doctors there advised her that the infection has been aggravated and needed surgery. She then confronted Nagaraj who claimed that he will bare her expenses and also requested to not file a police complaint.

However, Nagaraj did not help her financially, and following this, she registered a complaint at  Rajgopalanagar police station.

The accused have now been arrested.
