Bhadravathi: Seven injured in boiler explosion at rice mill

Seven people were injured following a boiler explosion at a rice mill on the Channagiri Road in Bhadravathi. The intensity of the blast was so severe that the entire building collapsed, causing significant damage and fragments of the boiler were found scattered over a kilometer from the site.

The incident took place on Thursday evening when more than 20 workers were loading rice at the mill. The explosion caused the rice mill building to collapse completely, and iron sheets were sent flying through the air. A total of seven people have been found at the site and were rushed to the McGann hospital for treatment. Among the injured, two are reported to be in critical condition. Rescue operations are ongoing, and more individuals are still being searched for.

Several houses in the vicinity were also damaged. Police and fire services are currently engaged in rescue and relief operations at the scene.
