BJP President Amit Shah Launches 'Karnataka Parivartan Yatra' in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: BJP national president Amit Shah launched party’s 79-day long ‘Karnataka Parivartan Yatra’ in Bengaluru on Thursday, with the aim of returning to power in Karnataka.  Speaking in the event, Shah said the rally is being organised to change the life of the people in Karnataka which help to build New Karnataka.

BJP president accused the state government that it failed to utilise the centre’s aid of Rs 1 lakh 30,000 crore meant for development of the state. Speaking on Tipu Jayanti, Shah stressed that the government failed to properly celebrate Kannada Rajyotsava on November 1 however; it is heading for a grand celebration of Tipu Jayanti on November 10 by praising a communal ruler.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a rally on January 28 on the conclusion of the yatra to be led by the party’s chief ministerial candidate B S Yeddyurappa. Top party leaders, including Union ministers and chief ministers, will attend the yatra, which will pass through the state’s 224 assembly seats. The congress is in power in the state and the BJP is making all-out efforts to oust it in the assembly polls scheduled to be held early next year.
