Kalaburagi: BJP state president B. Y. Vijayendra expressed confidence that all issues related to the alleged internal rift within the Karnataka BJP would be resolved in the party’s central core committee meeting scheduled for December 7.

Speaking to reporters in the city on Wednesday, Vijayendra addressed the issue of BJP leader Basanagouda Patil Yatnal filing a complaint with the JPC (Joint Parliamentary Committee). He remarked that the committee was formed by the Prime Minister for the greater good of the people of the country. “It is not a committee meant to address complaints by Yatnal or Somasekhar. All concerns, including these complaints, will be finalized in the December 7 meeting,” he said.

Vijayendra further revealed that senior leaders, under the leadership of Govind Karjol, have already filed a complaint regarding the developments in the state. “All issues will be discussed at the meeting, and there is a likelihood that a final resolution will emerge,” he added.

No Clear Information

When questioned about R. Ashoka, who recently traveled to Delhi to meet the party high command, Vijayendra stated, “He is the Leader of the Opposition, and I am not aware of his visit to Delhi or the discussions he may have had. I do not have any clear information regarding this matter.”

Speaking on the ongoing Waqf issue, Vijayendra accused the state government of displacing farmers. “The government is showcasing its power by transferring lands belonging to Mathas under the guise of Waqf ownership. The BJP will intensify its protests step by step,” he affirmed.

Criticism of MUDA Scam

Vijayendra alleged that land worth Rs 700 crore had already been transferred to brokers in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam. Taking a jibe at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, he said, “By returning the plots allotted to his family, the CM is trying to portray himself as honest. This is indeed unfortunate.”

Meanwhile, R. Ashoka left for Delhi on Wednesday and is reportedly scheduled to meet senior BJP leaders.
