BK Hariprasad will have to face the consequences: MB Patil

Bengaluru: Large and Medium Industries Minister M B Patil expressed concern over senior Congress leader B K Hariprasad, MLC, veiled attack on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Patil, who also chairs the KPCC Campaign Committee and belongs to the influential Lingayat community, emphasized that the party takes Hariprasad’s statements seriously and will take appropriate action.

Patil reminded that Hariprasad has held significant positions within the Congress party, including AICC General Secretary, Rajya Sabha member, and State Legislative Council opposition leader. He stressed that Hariprasad should have expressed his concerns within the party rather than airing them in the media or publicly criticizing the Chief Minister.

Patil pointed out that Hariprasad has personal connections with leaders like Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge, State party in charge Randeep Singh Surjewala, and others at the central level. However, this behavior as inappropriate for a senior party figure.

Patil also assured that any internal differences within the ruling Congress party would be resolved amicably.
