B'luru: Elderly COVID-19 patient faints; amb arrives after 4 hours to pick his rain-drenched dead body

Bengaluru: In an tragic incident that occured at Hanumantha Nagar in the city, a 65 year old COVID-19 positive, died after fainting. The incident occured on the after noon of July 3. The man had tested positive for the novel coronavirus. After the designated ambulance did not arrive for him he left to board an autorickshaw to go to the hospital. While on his way to the autorickshaw he collapsed on the road. People nearby did not come for his help as it was known that he was COVID-19 positive. The ambulance arrived in the evening to pick him up by which he had died and his dead body was drenched in the rain. A team led by BBMP deputy commissioner has now been formed to investigate the incident.
