The robbery took place on Sunday, April 17 night and was meticulously planned. The gang looted 5 kg of gold worth Rs 2.5 crore.

Two unidentified accused rented a house on the third floor of the building where the jewelry shop was located by submitting fake Aadhaar card details to the owner of the house with a Delhi address.

For two months, they kept watching on the jewelry shop noting down the movements of the proprietor and staff. Finally on April 17 they executed the plan and looted the shop.

They did this without arousing the suspicion of anyone in the area.
