Speaking to reporters, M.N. Anucheth, Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic Division, said that fines imposed on drivers who jumped signals to give way to emergency vehicles, such as ambulances, at major road junctions and signals in the city, will be waived.

Drivers often jump signals while trying to make way for ambulances. The drivers are usually imposed with fines for the traffic violation based on the traffic cameras recording. However, the Traffic Control Room will now thoroughly review camera footage, and fines imposed on vehicles that jumped signals to make way for ambulances will be canceled.
