It is critical to arrive at work on time in professional life. However, because there are so many factors in daily life, it is unrealistic to expect employees to arrive on time every day.

Managers are not expected to reprimand or dismiss an employee for being a minute late to work. One manager, on the other hand, is abusing the concept of punctuality by enforcing his own set of standards.

Angry netizens have slammed the CEO in question for enforcing an unreasonable rule that penalizes employees for being even one minute late to work.

A user provided a snapshot of the new office rule printed on paper in a Reddit post.

“Shout out to the worst place I ever worked (minimum wage, of course)” reads the caption on the r/antiwork thread.

Employees who are even a minute late to work will be obliged to work an additional 10 minutes beyond 6 p.m. for every minute they are late, according to the law.

“For every minute you are late for work, you will be required to work 10 minutes after 6 pm. For example, if you arrive at 10:02, you will have to stay an extra 20 minutes until 6:20 pm. Thanks,” the ‘new office rule’ states.
