New DC Office Complex to Open on Jan 17
Khader announced that the construction of the new Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner’s office complex in Padil is nearly complete. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is scheduled to inaugurate it during his visit on January 17.
Inspecting the final stages of the project on Friday, Khader emphasized the need to complete all pending works before the inauguration. The complex is expected to set a benchmark in the country and will be the largest DC office in the state.
Most government departments, except rural development, will operate under one roof, eliminating the need for citizens to visit multiple offices. It will also facilitate seamless meetings for officials, saving time. The relocation of offices will commence immediately after the inauguration, Khader said.
MLC Manjunath Bhandari, Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan, Additional DC Dr. Santosh Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Harshavardhan, and Smart City officials were present during the inspection.
