Charmadi: Driver escapes unhurt after tipper lorry falls into deep abyss

Kottigehara: A tipper lorry driver escaped with minor injuries after the vehicle fell into a deep abyss near Somanakadu while traversing through Charmadi ghat here on Friday late night.

The tipper lorry was proceeding from Mudigere to Charmadi when the driver lost control of the vehicle, hit the roadside barrier, and fell into the abyss. Low visibility due to foggy conditions is said to have led to the accident.

Police and forest department personnel visited the accident spot.
