Chaya jumps to Tamil

Mangaluru: Ashwini Kotiyan (Chaya Harsha) earned the fame of being the first female director in Tulu film industry by directing ‘Namma Kudla’ has received an offer in Tamil. She has acted in the new movie “Priyada Kadal”. Already the first part of the shooting has culminated and the second part of the shooting will begin soon. What is special is that Chaya portrays the character of a police officer.

This movie is based on an investigative storyline and its second phase of shooting will begin soon. By the by, Chaya will be directing her second Tulu film titled “Ramakrishna Govinda” which will be a comedy film which will hit the sets soon. There are many artists in this movie including Prakash Dharmanagara and Anoop Sagar. Her first movie “Namma Kudla” was a mass film while this new movie will be a 100% comedy film. Prakash Shetty Dharmanagara has penned the story and screenplay of the movie.

This movie will be produced by Chakravarthi and the cinematography will be done by Naveen Sunag. This movie has many Tulu artists in it. The selection of even more artists is ongoing. This movie is expected to begin its shooting in September.
