During the meeting, he directed the officials regarding the implementation of the Centre’s Jal Jeevan Mission.

“Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, last year we have provided tap water facility to around 19 lakh houses. Currently, daily around 7,000 houses are being given this facility. Although it is implemented, the work needs to be paced up”, he said.

“Some of the scheme implementations have not met the targets. The employment scheme although doing well on the ground, has failed to reach the target. Improvisation is required” he added.

Topics like malnutrition in Uttara Karnataka districts, crop-related issues, diploma course implementation of ITI and GTTC, and several others were touched upon.
