Bengaluru: Karnataka Vidyadarshana Sangha has expressed anger against the state government for not mourning the death of Patil Puttappa.
Speaking to the media, General Secretary of the Karnataka Vidyadarshana Sangha, Prakash Udikeri said that, Kannadigas all over the world had great respect for Patil Puttappa. We were expecting that Karnataka Government would declare state mourning over his demise, but they did not.
“CM of Karnataka had great respect for him, and he had also considered him to be his guru. But, now the government has neglected his death. CM Yeduyurappa must apologise to the entire country,” he added.
Udikeri said that, Patil Puttappa was an eminent leader of Karnataka and he always opposed the move of separate state. The government should have declared one day mourning for Patil Puttappa’s death.
