In a series of tweets, Siddaramaiah wrote “Confused decisions of BS Yediyurappa and Education department has left students, their parents and private education institutions in no man’s land. CM and Suresh Kumar should interfere and resolve the issue at the earliest.”

“CM BS Yediyurappa and education minister Suresh Kumar are directly responsible for the conflict between parents and private education institutions. The govt is trying to hide its gross mismanagement by creating a rift between parents and institutions,” he said in another tweet.

He further added, “There is no government’s control over private education institutions. Schools are forcing parents to pay the complete school fee and threatening to stop online classes if it is not paid. But our government is silent on the issue.”

“Schools are charging even extracurricular fees on top of teaching fees. This is an additional burden on parents. BJP is hand in gloves with the institutions,” he added.

Series of meeting by govt about reopening schools had created confusion and panic among parents. Education Minister Suresh Kumar should conduct meeting with both parents and management in a transparent way and resolve the issue at the earliest,” the former CM said.
