Congress party's guarantee is appeasement and corruption: Gaurav Bhatia

Mangaluru: Congress party’s only guarantee is “fraud, appeasement, corruption and family politics,” BJP National Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said.

He was speaking after inaugurating the BJP’s new media center for the Mangaluru division on Monday.

Further, Bhatia claimed that the Congress party had not fulfilled any of the promises made in other states including  Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.

Commenting on PFI ban, Bhatia said the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government had taken a soft line on anti-social organizations like PFI and SDPI and quashed 1,700 cases against miscreants. But PM Narendra Modi took a bold decision and banned PFI, he said.

Touching upon the issue of rising inflation and LPG prices, due to the economic tightening measures taken by the government led by Prime Minister Modi in 2014, inflation is currently at an average of around 4-5 percent. But when there was a Congress government, it was hovering around 12-13 percent, Bhatia claimed.

State BJP Spokesperson Captain Ganesh Karnik, Legislative Council Member Pratap Simha Naik, D.K. District BJP President Sudarshan M., Udupi District BJP President Kuilady Suresh Nayak, BJP State Media Convener Karunakar Khasale and D.K. District BJP chief spokesperson Ravishankar Mijar, among others were present.
