Panambur station police had found 23 cattle dumped in inhuman manner near Jokatte on June 4 and arrested several suspects including Mohammed Haneef Guddemane. The cattle seized during the operation was handed over to Pajir Govanitashraya Goshale. But suspects Mohammed Haneef Guddemane and 25 others took away the cattle on orders from court on June 21. Some people gathered at Jokatte, burst fire crackers, recorded video, sent it in social network and celebrated, states VHP in its letter addressed to the police commissioner on June 22.

‘The suspects are also trying to spoil communal harmony. VHP condemns the act, urges for legal action against those who are trying to create communal unrest and to get back the cattle that was taken away through the court order’ stated the letter.

Further claiming that the court order was obtained on the basis of fake documents, the right-wing Hindu nationalist group urged the police to consider the incident seriously and take action to get back the cattle by bring the records of bursting crackers to the attention of the court.
