Covid-19: 149 new cases, 10 deaths in DK

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada reported 149 new cases of coronavirus and 10 fatalities on Wednesday, August 5. The day also saw 82 persons getting discharged. As per the district health bulletin, the tally of coronavirus cases in Dakshina Kannada rose to 6,542 of which 4,620 cases are from Mangaluru itself. Presently 3,343 cases are active in the district while 3,009 persons have been discharged. The death toll stands at 190. The new cases include 64 ILI cases, 12 SARI cases, 27 Primary contacts of those infected earlier. Source of infection for 46 persons is being traced.
