Covid-19: Man under home quarantine enters wedlock in Chitradurga

Chitradurga: A Canada returnee who was advised to be under home quarantine for 14 days tied knot in Molkalmuru of Chitradurga district here on Friday.
The groom who works in a private company at Canada had returned on March 9. He was screened for coronavirus and was advised to be under home quarantine for 14 days.
When the officials came to know that he was getting married, a team of officials including Tahsildar visited the marriage hall.
The family was told that not more than 100 people could attend the wedding and also only 10 people were served food once at a time in the dining hall.
The guests at the wedding had to ensure ‘social distancing’, a tape was tied around 3 metre away from the couple on the reception dais and guests wished the couple from a distance. It is also said that an undertaking has been obtained from the groom stating that he would be under home-quarantine for next two days.
