Covid-19: Second wave of infections across Spain

Spain has reported new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, Aug 19, after ending its strict lockdown months ago.

Sources claim that 3,715 new daily cases had been detected, the highest tally in a single day since the Spain emerged in June from its lockdown

BBC report states that most of the transmission is now between young people, and around three-quarters of positives are in patients who show no symptoms.

For three months, Spain was under lockdown and Town and city festivals were cancelled. But, On July 7,  crowd gathered at Navarre’s capital of Pamplona for the world-famous San Fermin bull-running fiesta.

Also, there has been several other large crowd gathering the country after the lockdown was lifted. Last week, Spain also put nightlife on hold in an attempt to keep rising cases at bay.

Also, Aragon’s capital Zaragoza has become a hotspot for community transmission over recent week as many seasonal and migrant workers began traveling to find shelter.

However, a few experts claim that increase in detected cases is due to the increase in testing
