The now absconding Islamic preacher has been booked by the Delhi police for organising a religious congregation in violation of the government orders.
In a video clip which first emerged on Wednesday, Saad says, “People must not stop offering prayers or meeting people because doctors are advising to maintain social distance. This is the time when mosques should be populated. If Allah has given us this disease, no doctor or medicine can cure us. If you think you will die if you assemble in a masjid, let me tell you, there is no better place to die.”
However in another video which emerged later, Saad retracted from his earlier remarks and urged people to follow the doctors advise and claimed to be in self isolation himself.
