Davanagere: 3 killed in head-on collision between bikes; Another critical

Davanagere: Two bikes collided head-on at Takkanahalli Villager here in Honnalli Taluk late last night, killing 3 persons on the spot, police said.

The unfortunate victims have been identified as the father-son duo of Maheshappa and Sanju of Kotehal village in Basavapatna, and Prashant of Didagur village.

As per sources, another person named Anand also sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the McGann Hospital in Shivamogga for advanced treatment. His condition is said to be critical.

The accident occurred on the Savalanga-Basavapatna main road between Devahonnalli and Takanahalli villages. Prashant ant and Anand were on their way to Tambur when the bike on which Maheshappa and Sanju were riding collided with them.

As soon as the news of the accident broke, sub-inspector Basanagouda visited the spot and inspected it. A case has been registered at Honnalli police station.
