During the meeting, he collected information from the officials regarding the relief works undertaken for the victims in the taluk. He also directed that proper response be given to the victims.
Since the Anaru bridge has been washed away by floods, an alternative road is being created from the interior as on an urgent basis between Mundaje and Kanarpa. The DC visited this under construction road which is 3km long and inspected its progress.
Puttur assistant commissioner H K Krishnamurthy, Belthangady Tahsildar Ganapathy Shastri, special nodal officers Santosh and Nagaraj and other officials were present.

In accordance to the direction from the DC, the district mental health survey team under the district health and family welfare department visited Belthangady taluk on Wednesday and conducted a comprehensive study regarding the mental health of the people affected by the floods.
Since it was possible to enquire on the mental state of the people who had lost house and property to the natural calamity, the team was directed to carry out the study. Victims from various locations including Kukkavu and Agarimaru areas were invited and subjected to the examination.
The study was conducted under the leadership of the district psychiatrist Dr Arun Shetty with assistance from psychologist Jayashree, social worker Divya, psychoanalyst Hita and community speciality Sri Vidya.
