The report has been prepared after visiting the houses of police firing victims, she told reporters at a press conference here.

The KPCC women’s wing also demanded a judicial probe into the police firing.

Taking a jibe at the BJP, Pushpa stated that though the party slogan says ‘sab ka sath, sab ka vikas’, the elected representatives of this district, including MP Nalin Kumar Kateel have failed to visit the kin of those who died in the police firing on December 19.

She lashed out at the BJP government for naming the two deceased as an accused in the FIR and demanded a judicial probe to know whether the FIR was based on facts or not.

On the Citizens (Amendment) Act, Pushpa said the BJP is trying to trigger “internal terrorism” by introducing a new law and thereby disturb peace in the country.

Referring to the series of videos released by former Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy alleging police brutality in Mangaluru, Pushpa said, “It is evident that the Mangaluru city police had instructions to create unrest in the city. It is a hidden agenda of the BJP.”
