Decomposed bodies washed ashore at Mattu beach

Kaup: Decomposed bodies of two persons were washed ashore at Katpady Mattu beach area near Kaup, late evening on Friday, February 28 raising suspicions that it might be of the missing Mumbai-based hotelier and his six-year-old son went missing from Netravati bridge.

It maybe recalled that Gopalakrishna Rai, 52, and his son went missing from the bridge on February 16 early morning. A death note was found in Rai’s car parked near the bridge. Despite a search, police were unable to trace their bodies.

Kaup police visited the spot and an investigation is underway to establish their identity.
