The practice of wearing Hanuman malas began in 2008 with just 12 devotees and has grown to lakhs. Last year, over 1.25 lakh devotees ascended the hill for mala visarjana, marking a historic turnout.

This year too, thousands of devotees have traveled from various parts of Karnataka and other states via padayatra, mini buses, and other vehicles. To ensure smooth proceedings, the Koppal district administration, Gangavathi taluk officials, police, and other departments have provided necessary arrangements and facilities.
