Dharmasthala donates Rs 25crore for flood relief in Karnataka

Belthangady: For the second year in a row, Karnataka witnessed an unprecedented rainfall causing huge loss to property and lives. Dr Virendra Hegde, the hereditary administrator/Dharmadhikari of the Dharmasthala Temple, handed over Rs 25 crore from the Dharmashala Rural Development Project to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund which will be used for rehabilitation and relief needs of the flood victims of the state.

Belthangady MLA Harish Pooja also pledged Rs 50 lakh to the Workers' Relief Fund. Mrs Hemavathi V. Hegde, MLA Harish Pooja and Dr LH Manjunath were present at the press conference.
