A differently-abled athlete named Zion Clark (23) has broken a unique yet inspiring world record to become the fastest 20 metre walker using his hands alone. He finished it in 4.76 seconds.

Clark was born without legs. He is suffering from caudal regression syndrome, a rare medical condition characterized by the abnormal development of the lower half of the body where the bones of the spine are often missing, according to the US National Library of Medicine..

However, Clark never let his disability stop him from following his dreams. He has shared a video of his inspiring feat on his Instagram page

In February 2021, he made his first attempt to break the record for being the fastest man who could run on his hand. He did so in his high school gym in Ohio’s Massillon. ‘He exploded in a burst of speed, smashing the record in a time of 4.78 seconds,” the record-counting organization’s website said.

Speaking to Guinness World Record, he also added, “The message I would like to give kids with disabilities or anyone with a disability would be- It’s going to be hard, but if you’ve got the heart and determination, you can go get what’s yours. If you’re disabled or not disabled, the message stays the same.”
