Former MLA J R Lobo addressed the gathering and said, “”It was not possible for BJP to prove its majority in the floor test. Yeddyurappa was sworn in as chief minister and could hold his position only for 55 hours. For the first time in Karnataka history, the CM resigned before the trust vote.”
“After becoming the chief minister and knowing he would fail the trust vote, Yeddyurappa resigned and walked out from the assembly as he lacked courage. BJP knew that they had did not have enough seats but were greedy to be in power. Despite knowing JD(S)-Congress had the majority, they were adamant to form the government. Even the governor failed while taking decision and invited BJP first,” he said.
“BJP thought they could lure MLAs of other parties to form the government and made desperate poaching attempts and offered bribes. BJP does not have the moral right to form the government. BJP is known to talk big but they fail to practice in reality. They have misled the young minds in the name of forming government. BJP has done mockery of democracy, insulted the voters. Voters did a mistake by electing BJP. I urge voters not to support such party and leaders who make mockery of democracy. They should not be allowed to be in power and should be pushed out not only from the state but also from the country. On Monday, Congress and JD(S) will form the government and take the state towards development. Both the parties are experienced in managing the administration,” Lobo added.
