Dr D Veerendra Heggade turns 76

Dr. D Veerendra Heggade, the hereditary administrator of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, celebrates his 76th birthday today, November 25. Dignitaries from diverse fields are set to extend their heartfelt greetings on this auspicious occasion.

Born on November 25, 1948, Dr. Heggade assumed the role of the 21st administrator of the Kshetra on October 24, 1964, marking the beginning of a new era. Under his stewardship, Dharmasthala witnessed a remarkable evolution in its service sector.

The comprehensive development initiatives included the establishment of the Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala village development project, self-employment training centers, Siri institutes, and an array of educational institutions. The profound impact of these institutions extended across Mangaluru, Mysuru, Dharwad, Bengaluru, Udupi, and Ujire, among other locations.
