Eatery at Pune launches a contest, eat 4kg thali and win Royal Enfield Bullet

A restaurant in the outskirts of Pune has come up with a unique offer to woo customers. Shivraj Hotel has introduced a ‘Win a Bullet bike’ contest for people who manage to finish off a huge Bullet Thali within 60 minutes.

The contest is all about finishing a non-veg thali within 60 minutes to win a Royal Enfield Bullet worth Rs. 1.65 lakh.

Atul Waikar is the owner of Shivraj Hotel located in the Wadgaon Maval area. He said the aim behind introducing the contest was to invite more customers to the eatery.

Atul started with placing five brand new Royal Enfiled Bullets in the verandah of his restaurant, following which banners and menu cards were illustrated with instructions of the Bullet Thali contest.

The Bullet Thali is a non-veg platter consisting of around 12 types of dishes made of 4kg mutton and fried fish, fried Surmai, Pomfret fried fish, chicken tandoori, dry mutton, grey mutton, chicken masala and kolumbi (prawns) biryani.

Bullet Thali is priced at Rs.2500. Previously, Atul had introduced a contest, where four people had to finish 8kg Ravan thali within 60 minutes. The winner was awarded with a cash price of Rs. 5000 and didn’t have to pay for thali.

Somnath Pawar, hailing from Solapur district managed to finish the Bullet thali in less than 60mins. He was awarded with a Bullet bike.
