When asked about predictions suggesting one seat each for the three major parties, Shivakumar dismissed such surveys. “Election surveys are not the basis for politics. People’s trust and support determine the winners,” he said, citing previous surveys in Karnataka and Haryana elections that did not align with the actual results.
Temple Administration Controversy
Addressing allegations that defectors were favored over Congress loyalists in the Kollur temple Administrative Board, Shivakumar clarified, “Promises were made during elections. We have allowed them to administer for a limited time, as per our word.”
BPL Card Issue
On the issue of Below Poverty Line (BPL) cards, Shivakumar assured that no genuine cardholder would face injustice. “Instructions have been issued to compile a list of those affected. If cards have been wrongly canceled, reapplications will be permitted.
