First batch of Covid-19 vaccine shipment reaches M’luru

Mangaluru: The first batch of covid-19 vaccine shipment arrived in Mangaluru on Thursday, January 14 morning.

The consignment of 42,500 doses of Covishield vaccine was shipped from Bengaluru in the health department vehicle and arrived at the regional storage facility in Mangaluru.

Out of the consignment received at Mangaluru, vaccines will be dispatched to Udupi (12,000 doses) and Chikkamagaluru (6,000 doses) districts for the inoculation drive scheduled on January 16.

As many as 40,000 corona workers have registered for the vaccination drive.
