Malpe: Tourists and beachgoers at Malpe can enjoy the experience of walking on the ocean waves. In an effort to make the beach more attractive a floating bridge has been constructed at Malpe beach.
This floating structure is the first of its kind to come up in Karnataka. Kerala’s Beypore beach has a similar floating bridge too.
It is expected that tourists who seek adventure might love this new installation.
Using this 3.5-meter wide bridge, people can reach up to 100 meters into the sea. It can support 100 people at a time. At the end of the bridge, a 12-meter-long and 7.5-meter-wide rectangular platform is also constructed. ABout 10 lifeguards have also been stationed at the bridge for safety purposes.
Tourists will be allowed 15 minutes on the bridge.
The bridge rises and lowers with the ebb and flow of the tides and gives a unique experience of floating / walking on sea waves.
