From stereotypes to service: Women officers in the Indian Army

The army has also introduced several policies to promote gender equality and has set up a grievance redressal mechanism to address the concerns of women officers.

The inclusion of women in the Indian Army can be seen as a notable advancement towards achieving greater gender equality and promoting diversity. Women officers have proved their worth time and again and have made significant contributions to the Indian Army. While there are still several challenges that need to be addressed, it is heartening to see that the Indian Army is taking steps to promote gender equality and create a more inclusive environment for women officers.
