Chikkamagaluru: Girl declared brain dead after falling off moving bus; parents donate organs

Chikkamagaluru: In a tragic incident that occurred on Wednesday, September 21, a girl is declared brain dead after falling off a moving bus.

Rakshitha, a resident of Somanahalli’s Tandya of Kadur taluk is the victim.

Meanwhile, her parents Lakshmibai (mother) and Suresh (father) have decided to donate her organs.

People appreciated the parents of Rakshitha for taking the decision of donating organs.

Today, (Wednesday, September 21) evening a team of experts will be visiting the Chikkamagaluru District Hospital, where Rakshitha is admitted and will retrieve the organs.

Tomorrow, i.e., on Thursday, September 22, at noon, the organs will be carried in two helicopters.

Reportedly, the people of the Chikkamagaluru district will witness the first-ever organ transportation process.

It is learned that Rakshitha was pursuing academics at Government PU College of Basavanahalli.
