Bengaluru: The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) will extend the operational timings of its trains by an extra 90minutes. The metro trains will run till 11.30 pm from Thursday, BMRCL announced.
From November 18, the last Namma Metro service will depart from Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Interchange Metro station in all directions at 11:30 pm. However, trains will start daily as per the existing schedule.
The official release by BMRCL said that the departure of the first train from the terminal stations will be at 6 am from Monday to Saturday and 7 am on Sundays.
“The last train departure from terminal stations, Nagasandra, Silk Institute, Kengeri, and Baiyappanahalli stations, will be 11 pm on all days,” the release said.

There were calls for extending the metro timings. Prior to the pandemic, Metro trains began operations from 5 am to midnight, except on Sundays. With this announcement, BMRCL has inched towards restoring normal timings.
